What happens during my consultation?

During your consultation, our dentist will take impressions of your teeth in order to make your bespoke teeth whitening trays. The trays will then be delivered to your home within 2 weeks. The MySpa Teeth Whitening Kit comes in a beautiful presentation box and includes tubes of bleaching gel, tray holders and detailed instructions.

The dentist will provide you with all the information you need to achieve the very best results.

Does it hurt?

No. When you insert the whiteners with the gel in place you will experience a fizzing or popping which is the whitening agent breaking down the stains within your enamel.  There is often a low grade sensitivity the day after you whiten which means that your teeth will feel the cold more than usual but this is very mild and if anything lets you know that the process is working.  If this sensitivity does become uncomfortable then our advice is either to leave a day between applications or in severe cases contact invisiwhite who will supply a lower concentration of gel.

Finally it should be stated that in UK studies at the concentration of gel employed by invisiwhite no one has ever ceased treatment as a result of sensitivity.  

How long do the effects last?

Results can last up to 24 months but this depends on the lifestyle, diet and oral hygiene of the client. Tea, coffee, red wine and smoking will reduce this time and require more regular top ups or booster treatments. However, the great thing about invisiwhite is all you have to do to top up your whitening is log on to your user account and order some more whitening gel which will be with you within 2 days.  So no matter what your lifestyle or wine intake you can maintain your smile as white as you want forever!

What is a booster treatment?

A booster treatment is carried out at your nearest invisiwhite spa. A higher concentration of whitening gel is applied carefully to the teeth whilst the gums are protected. After 15 minutes the gel is rinsed away to reveal a truly stunning smile. Every invisiwhite client is entitled to a free booster treatment at any time throughout or after their invisiwhite smile whitening procedure.

Does it benefit my oral health?

Yes.  At inviswhite we believe that a whiter, more beautiful smile always encourages you to care for your smile more.  If you have a mouth full of silver fillings you are less likely to care for your smile as well as the person with a stunning white smile that she is proud of.  That is why at invisiwhite we carry out preliminary screenings of both the state of your teeth and the health of your gums, so that we are compiling proof that whitening your smile prevents the deterioration of your teeth and gums by encouraging you to take pride in your oral health care.

Is it safe?

Yes.  Clinical tests both in the UK and the US have proven that the concentration of whitening gel employed by invisiwhite is completely safe if used according to our instructions.  No legal case against whitening has ever been successful in the US in over 30 years of whitening.

How long will it take to work?

This depends on the age of the client.  Typically our clients will notice their teeth looking lighter within 3 days and treatment should be complete within 3 weeks.  If a client is older or they have a yellower smile to begin with, treatment will obviously take longer but we will always get a result they are happy with.  The beauty of invisiwhite is that because it does not intrude into your lifestyle it will ultimately become a treatment that you incorporate into your health and beauty routine in the longer term. So although it is exciting to achieve a result quickly, we are looking for sustainable long term results which will keep your smile looking young forever.

Does it damage your enamel?

No. The whitening gel simply breaks down surface stains on your teeth and research shows that it poses no risk to dental enamel. Mild sensitivity following whitening is quickly reversed by natural minerals in your saliva.

What about my crowns and veneers?

The system will not harm your crowns or veneers; however they will not be lightened by the whitening gel. It should be noted that natural teeth will become whiter than the colour of any existing crowns and veneers. They can, however be replaced in a whiter shade to match the brightness of your natural teeth once the whitening procedure is complete and at invisiwhite we have a database of trusted professionals who can supply these services if requested.
