Arm & Thigh Lift
The natural ageing process causes skin to lose its elasticity. However, it is often the upper arms and thighs in particular, that lose their firmness as the layers of muscle and fat become thinner.
If this is the case, an arm lift (brachioplasty) or thigh lift can help to restore and tighten these areas. Ultimately, this will give you a much firmer, more youthful look - leaving you more confident to wear sleeveless tops and fitted trousers.

Your questions answered
- What does the procedure involve?
-
Arm lifts and thigh lifts are performed in hospital under a general anaesthetic by our highly experienced MySpa surgeons. In the case of an arm lift, incisions are made along the inner arm, which may extend from the armpit to the elbow. The skin is separated from the underlying fat and muscle and the excess skin is then carefully removed. In the case of thigh lift surgery, an incision is made along the inner thigh area - this may extend from the inner knee to the groin. In cases where additional lift is needed, the incision may carry on along either the femoral line or buttock fold. The excess skin is then carefully removed.
- What is the duration of the hospital stay?
-
Clients that are undergoing a thigh lift will need a two-night stay
in hospital. But those undergoing an arm lift can go home after one
night. Your MySpa surgeon will advise you to take two to three weeks
off work.
MySpa pride ourselves on our after-care. We offer a comprehensive
and extensive post-operative care programme, which includes detailed
post-operative instructions and follow-up appointments with your
surgeon at your local MySpa clinic to ensure a speedy recovery.
