Breast Uplift

Your breasts may have sagged following pregnancy or with ageing as the ligaments surrounding the breasts have relaxed. Even if you are happy with the size of your breasts they may have lost their tone or the nipples may point downward. A breast uplift may be the procedure for you - a consultation with one of our dedicated care co-ordinators will tell you whether this procedure is suitable. This procedure is commonly performed at the same time as a breast enlargement.

Your questions answered

What does the procedure involve?
A breast uplift (mastopexy) is performed under general anaesthetic. During the procedure, our highly qualified MySpa surgeon will carefully remove a small section of excess skin from each breast to lift the bustline and give you the more youthful appearance that you desire. The scar is usually placed around the nipple and from the nipple down to the natural crease under your breast. If you have small saggy breasts then you will be more likely to benefit from the uplift procedure. Larger breasts are more difficult to lift.

You will not be able to breast feed after surgery. During this procedure, it is likely that the milk ducts will be cut thereby preventing future breast feeding. If future pregnancies are planned then a breast uplift is not a suitable procedure because pregnancy would be likely to stretch the breasts again and reverse the benefit obtained.

What is the duration of the hospital stay?
There are occasions where patients may be discharged on the same day as their operation - but only if all the medical staff are fully satisfied that they have met the discharge criteria. It is more common for the procedure to be followed by an overnight stay in one of the hospitals that we use.

We recommend that you take 10 - 14 days off work to aid your full and speedy recovery.

MySpa pride ourselves on the aftercare that we provide to clients. You will receive detailed post-operative instructions and follow up appointments to ensure that you are making a full recovery and that your realistic expectations have been met.

How much does it cost?
Your care co-ordinator will discuss the cost of treatment with you at your initial consultation - at which time you are under no obligation to continue. The exact cost will depend on the precise type of procedure that is determined most suitable for you. We can offer a flexible finance plan subject to status.

How will I feel after the procedure?
Temporary bruising, swelling, discomfort, numbness, dry skin. But after, you'll have renewed confidence, desirability and femininity with improved proportions.
