It is important to note that this is not a cure for obesity but is a treatment to remedy the problem of excess fat in localised areas. It can, however, enhance the shape of your body contours in certain areas that have proved resistant to exercise and diet. Diet and exercise remain the best ways to achieve that. However, liposuction can remove localised areas of fat that have not responded to diet and exercise.

What are the treatable areas?
Parts of the body that can be typically treated include the chin / neck, upper arms, calves and ankles, thighs, buttocks and abdomen.
What does the procedure involve?
Liposuction is typically performed under local anaesthetic with sedation - although your surgeon and anaesthetist will discuss this with you. A qualified Myspa surgeon will make a small incision whereby the fat is then removed through a fine needle. A scar of about a quarter of an inch will be placed in the least detectable place and will generally fade away over several weeks.
How will I feel after the procedure?
You'll have some temporary bruising, swelling, numbness, soreness. But be back to work in 1 to 2 weeks. More strenuous activity - 2 to 4 weeks. Full recovery from swelling and bruising - 1 to 6 months or more.
