Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are used to restore volume in the face and 'fill out' or smooth out our facial lines and creases. As we age it's hard not to notice our laughter lines, crows feet and the lines and wrinkles that are unfortunately an inevitable sign of aging.

At MySpa, we use a number of revolutionary dermal fillers that can treat popular areas of concern such as:

  • Nose to Mouth Lines
  • Forehead Lines
  • Frown Furrows
  • Smile Lines
  • Acne Pits
  • Crows Feet
  • Hollow or sunken cheeks
  • Lip Enhancement

What are dermal fillers?
A dermal filler is a substance which is injected into the skin to plump it up, make it firmer and smooth out lines and wrinkles.
There are many types of dermal fillers on the market these days, here at MySpa we favour synthetically produced non-animal products consisting of hyaluronic acid which is a natural chemical constituent of the skin.

Are dermal fillers safe?
The dermal fillers we use are extremely safe with a low incidence of allergic reaction. There is, however, a very small possibility of allergic reaction, which will be discussed with your practitioner. You can expect some degree of redness and swelling after the treatment, which usually clears up within 2 - 3 days.

What type of dermal fillers are used at MySpa?
Dermal fillers used at MySpa include Teosyal Kiss, Touch and Deep Line, Restylane Touch, Restylane, Restylane Perlane, Sculptra, Radiesse and Evolence.

How are dermal fillers applied?
Dermal fillers are injected into lines and wrinkles to plump them out.

How long does a dermal filler treatment take?
A dermal filler treatment usually take around 30 minutes depending on how many areas you are having treated. For lip enhancement, a local anaesthetic injection is usually given to remove any discomfort, this will add a little longer to your treatment time

How long do dermal fillers last?
Typically, the results of dermal fillers can last three to nine months but this varies from one person to another. The filler is gradually broken down and absorbed by the body, so the lines, wrinkles or lips will ultimately return to their previous appearance without top up treatments.
